At the ripe age of 31, Keenan Allen had arguably his best season as a pro in 2023. In 13 games, he averaged 21.5 PPR fantasy points per game, behind just CeeDee Lamb and Tyreek Hill. His 32% target share was a career-best and his 2.48 yards per route run was his most since the 2018 season. That was the past. Things are about to change in 2024 as Allen finds himself in Chicago playing alongside two other great receivers in DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. And for as good as Caleb Williams could be, he's still a rookie quarterback in the NFL. Gone are the days of 10+ targets per game for Allen, especially with Shane Waldron taking over as offensive coordinator for the Bears. In his last three seasons as OC for the Seahawks, Waldron's offense ranked dead last in plays per game twice. But despite the slow pace, Seattle offenses never ranked worse than 11th in yards per play. The big plays could help negate some of the negative target regression for Allen, but it won't be enough to keep him in the WR1 conversation. In fact, he'll be hardpressed to crack the Top-25 wide receivers this season playing alongside Moore, who had nearly a 29% target share himself in 2023.
